Rüdlingen - Tössegg - Rüdlingen

Hike from Rüdlingen through the vineyards via Buchberg to Tössegg.

Rüdlingen is the starting point of our hike, an exclave of the Canton of Schaffhausen. We arrive by bus, from Eglisau or Flaach.

Our hike begins with an ascent. Past timber-framed houses, we reach the viewpoint with a church, situated above the vineyards. With views of the Rhine and the wide lowlands of the Zurich winegrowing country, we continue on to Buchberg.

Over fields, a descent through the forest and later through tended vineyards, we reach the historic little town of Eglisau. The way leads over the Rhine bridge and back to Rüdlingen, then we continue along the left bank of the Rhine via Tössriedern where you can relax and grill sausages, to Tössegg.

We cross the river, here at the biggest Rhine loop, where the Töss flows into the Rhine. We continue the rest of the way in midst of the charming, idyllic river scenery.

Sie folgen der Schweiz Mobil-Beschilderung Via Rhenana Nr. 60 vom Weinbaudorf Rüdlingen, einer Exklave des Kantons Schaffhausen, nach Eglisau. Der Weg führt Sie vorbei an Riegelhäusern, einer Kirche mit herrlichem Weitsicht auf den Rhein und in die weite Ebene des Züricher Weinlandes zuerst nach Bucherg. Sie folgen weiter der Wegweisung durch die liebevoll gepflegten Weinreben des Schaffhauser Blauburgunderlandes und gelangen ins historische Städtchen Eglisau. Sie queren die Rheinbrücke und verlassen die Schweiz Mobil-Beschilderung. Sie laufen nun flussaufwärts in Richtung Tössegg. Hier mündet die Töss in den Rhein ein. Weiter dem Uferweg entlang erreichen Sie wieder Ihren Ausgangspunkt Rüdlingen.
