The Rhine Falls

The Rhine Falls, the largest Falls in Europe, offer the visitor a spectacular sight!

17,000 years ago this impressive wonder of nature was formed and is now the main attraction for countless visitors from all over the world.

Over a width of 150 metres and a height of 23 metres, an average of 700,000 litres of water cascade over the rocks every second. A boat ride to the famous rock in the middle of the Falls and the short walk to the top, is an unforgettable experience for every visitor.

From Schaffhausen train station: Bus N° 1 towards Neuhausen/Herbstäcker, every 10 minutes , get off "Neuhausen Zentrum", follow the brown signs down to the Rhine Falls. Walking time approx. 15 minutes.

From Schaffhausen or Winterthur train station, running hourly in the season (until October from Monday to Friday every half an hour) the regional train S33, get off at train "Schloss Laufen" station.

From Erzingen (Germany) regional German trains run to Schaffhausen, get off at "Neuhausen" station, take the footpath through the wood to the Rhine Falls, approx. 10 minutes.
