Wineland Tour

Wide-spread fields, gentle hills - an attractive bike tour for the whole family past vineyards, corn, tobacco and hops fields.
Leave the train station in Winterthur (northerly direction) and soon you will reach - along roads with little traffic - the charming winegrowing country with its pretty villages.
Via Hettlingen you continue north to Oberwil and Niederwil, then turn and ride downhill in the direction of Gütighausen Thur.
From the Thur lowlands you cycle uphill and past the first vineyards. Past Niederneunforn you will reach Wilen and Uerschhausen.
At the lakes, Nussbaumer and Hüttwilersee have a rest before continuing on to Stammheim, with its wonderful timber-framed houses, and then till Stein am Rhein. Don't forget to allow plenty of time for sightseeing in the little old town here!
A visit to the nearby old town of Schaffhausen (approx. 20 km) is also definitely a must!
