A wonderful tranquillity lies over the village and countryside. At the entrance to the village you are welcomed by beautiful, geranium decorated, timber-framed houses. High above the village amidst the vineyards is the landmark of Osterfingen, the historical "Trotte".
Around the houses at Haartelbach life becomes active in autumn. One of the most important and popular event takes place, the "Trotten Festival". The fine wines, the delicious food, the decorated "Trotte" and the numerous attractions will delight you. The Osterfingen wines are not only a treat during the "Trotten Festival"! Many of the winegrowers invite you all year round for an enjoyable wine tasting session.
A visit to the Klan reservoir is a really special experience. In the former water reservoir, listen to the sounds of the many-voiced Klang dialogue, produced by water and metal, and escape for some brief moments the humdrum of everyday life.
Go for a hike through the beautiful Wangental valley, and in the wetland "Im See" observe the flora and fauna from close up. Little grebes, dragonflies, mulleins, gravel roots and much more will not cease to amaze you. From Wangental continue on a pleasurable hike, e.g. to Rossberg - where you can have a wonderful meal at Restaurant Rossberghof - or to the Radegg Ruins, from where you can enjoy a spectacular view and stop at the many picnic areas and have a barbecue.
