The former farming village of Löhningen borders on the nearby recreational area of Randen. Well worth seeing is the hospital "Trotte" dating back to 1604 with the still functional tree pressing machine from 1713.
In winter the nearby cross-country ski-tracks "Randenspur" (7-15 km of challenging and rolling hills) as well as the "Eschheimer Tal" cross-country ski-run (skating and classic tracks) offer unadulterated fun on skis.
In summer you can hike to the Randen towers of Siblingen and Beringen and after the strenuous ascent, at the top, grill a sausage at one of the numerous picnic areas, have something to eat at the Siblinger Randenhaus or at the Restaurant Beringer Randenturm and enjoy the marvellous view.
