The Minster is the most original of the Romanic church buildings of Switzerland, an impressive basilica. All Saints', this former Benedictine abbey with the convent church that was consecrated in 1106 and the Minster tower from the second half of the 12th century, belongs to the few, well-kept, Romanic convents of Switzerland.

The foundation of the former parish church goes right back to the year 1000. Its complete width of 34 metres is only surpassed by the Minsters of Basel and Berne, in Switzerland.

The former Dominican convent St. Katharinental lies directly on the banks of the Rhine, just below Diessenhofen. The church was built from 1732 - 1735 and is a fine example of one of the most beautiful late baroque buildings of Switzerland.
