Crafts museum Gattersagi Buchberg
Go back 100 years and immerse yourself into the technical world of those days. Efficiently sawing tree trunks was only made possible thanks to electricity. The saw was and is powered by a massive 18 HP electric motor. The drive system, the large drive train, the multiple blade frame saw and the ingenious traverse feed device make this saw so special – it is the link between the single-gate saw, which was driven by hydropower, and the modern sawmills. The handicraft exhibition offers further insight into bygone professions. Experience a sawing demonstration in the ‘Gattersagi’!
