Schaffhausen's City Theatre is one of the most beautiful theatres in Switzerland. During the theatre season lasting from September to May the Stadttheater presents a broad and excellent selection of nationally and internationally renowned shows - ranging from opera, musical and drama productions to dance and ballet, comedy and exciting and inventive children's theatre. Alongside productions in German, the Stadttheater also regularly hosts productions in English and French.

The Stadttheater further presents many of the Musik Collegium Schaffhausen's classical concerts and regularly hosts a range of corporate and public events.
